RUSSIAN, UKRAINIAN SC SECS DISCUSS CO-OPERATION

MOSCOW, May 30 (AVN) - Security Council Secretary Sergey Ivanov received his visiting Ukrainian counterpart Yevgeny Marchuk in the Kremlin on Tuesday, a source in the Russian SC told the Military News Agency.

The meeting discussed the development of bilateral co-operation in the field of mutual and international security, the source said.

According to Ivanov, the relations between the two countries were recently given a new impulse during the visit of President Vladimir Putin to Kiev and Sevastopol, as well as during the Belarussian-Russian-Ukrainian summit in Belgorod.

At the present moment the most important task is implementing the achieved agreements and settling all the arguments that thwart the Russia-Ukraine relations, Ivanov stressed.

The negotiations were attended by Nikolay Beloblotsky, Ukrainian ambassador to Moscow.
