MOSCOW, June 14 (AVN) - One of the meetings of the Security Council due for late June will discuss the draft of the information security doctrine of the Russian Federation, a source in the SC administration told the Military News Agency.
The basis for the doctrine is the RF law concerning state secret, federal laws concerning information, informatisation, and protection of information, concerning participation in the international information exchange, and a series of enactments of the President and the government of the RF.
One of the main faults in the current legal support of the securement of the information, telecommunication systems and communication networks, and Russian information resources is the absence of effective monitoring mechanisms for realisation of the RF international treaties and the federal laws regulating relations in the field, defective legal regulation of relations in the area of technological maintenance of the information security of the RF, irregularity in the issues of dividing authority between the federal executive bodies in the sphere of providing information security.
Apart from that, the interstate commission of the RF SC for information security prepared a draft of the concept of improving legal support of the Russian information security.
