KHABAROVSK, June 26 (AVN) - A delegation of foreign military attaches to Russia is visiting the Far Eastern military district to survey the conditions of servicemen there, a source in the district staff told the Military News Agency.
The delegation is headed by Bulgarian Military attache Major-General Stefan Dimitrov, and includes military diplomats of Angola, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Italy, Kuwait, the USA and other countries (a total of 20 attaches).
The delegation met Colonel-General Yuri Yakubov, commander of the Far Eastern military district, visited the district's training centre and a combat detachment. The programme also presupposes a visit to a testing ground, where the attaches will be shown the materiel in the district's inventory and will be able to perform firing exercises.
The trip is organised by the Russian Defence and Foreign Ministries in accordance with the plan of strengthening military co-operation with foreign countries.
