60 PERCENT OF ARMY ROOKIES READY TO PROTECT RUSSIA

MOSCOW, July 12 (AVN) - The Russian Armed Forces are completing swearing in the rookies, a source in the Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.

According to the source within the period between April 1 and June 30 190,000 people were enrolled to the Armed Forces and other military formations. Despite the fact that the draft campaign was going on against the background of the Chechnya hostilities this did not affect the work of draft commissions and recruit stations. Over 60 percent of the polled are ready to protect their fatherland from outer aggression, on the other hand, as many as 11 percent of the polled said they were not ready for that.
