KHABAROVSK, July 13 (AVN) - The military prosecutor's office of the Barabash garrison in the Far Eastern Maritime territory has detected the stealage of 45 R-173 radio stations worth a total of RUR1.8m (about USD65,000), a source in the Far Eastern military district prosecutor's office told the Military News Agency.
The stealage was detected as a result of a check up in one of the units located in the Barabash garrison, the source said. Privates Babur, Kutsy, Mamyshev and Tytarev dismantled the radio stations and sold them to civilians, he added.
The prosecutor of the garrison launched investigation into the case. As many as 18 radio stations have been already found and confiscated. The police and investigators are currently looking for the rest.
