NIZHNY TAGIL, South-western Siberia, July 13 (AVN) - Famous US tank designer Philip Abrams has arrived at the URALEXPOARMS-2000 show to take a closer look at its exhibits, the Military News Agency learned Thursday.
Abrams paid special attention to the products of the local Uralvagonzavod plant. He spent more than two hours studying the T-90S tank.
The constructor has also acquainted himself with some other products by Uralvagonzavod, e.g. the IMR-2MA engineer obstacle vehicle, BMR-3M mine-clearing vehicle, BREM-1 armoured maintenace vehicle, BMPT tank support vehicles and MTU-72 bridge-laying tank.
Abrams praised the combat capabilities of Uralvagonzavod ordnance. He admitted that several T-90S tank characteristics are not matched by any vehicle in the world, but declined to provide any comments in the press.
