10 FEDS KIA, 53 WIA IN CHECHNYA THIS WEEK

MOSCOW, July 13 (AVN) - Six Russian army servicemen and four Interior Ministry officers have been killed in Chechnya in the past week, Colonel-General Valery Manilov, first deputy chief-of-staff, told a news briefing in the Russian Information Centre on Thursday.

40 servicemen and 13 policemen have been wounded or injured, he added.

Manilov also noted that the bulk of the terrorist acts aimed at the federal troops in Chechnya was prevented.
