KHANKALA, July 14 (AVN) - In the past 24 hours the federal aviation accomplished 44 combat missions in Chechnya, a source in the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
SU-25 Frogfoot fighter-bombers and MI-24 Hind helicopters inflicted strikes upon rebel bases in mountains and on routes of their regrouping. Three abatis were set up on the highland roads.
IL-76 Candid transports airlifted over 90t of load to Mozdok for the federal group and Chechen population. As many as 176 servicemen were evacuated from the area of operation to the points of their permanent stationing.
