MOSCOW, August 3 (AVN) - Not a single case of mass epidemic disease has been registered among the servicemen for the past year of the Interior Ministry troops operation in the field conditions of Chechnya, Yuri Sabanin, the head of the troops medical department told the Military News Agency.
A total sum of RUR2,2m (some USD80,000) was spent for the preventive measures, Sabanin said. As many as 7,000 doses of the anti-hepatitis vaccine, large number of anti-pediculosis and anti-influenza medicines have been supplied for the Interior Ministry group in the North Caucasus.
According to the RF Interior Ministry material, fuel and energy resources supply centre, 1,560 heaters, 20,000 cubic metres of firewood and 6,000 blankets were delivered to the troops for preventing common colds.
