NEW FIRST DEPUTY JUSTICE MINISTER TO MONITOR LAW-MAKING

MOSCOW, August 8 (AVN) - Colonel-General Yuri Demin appointed by Vladimir Putin the first deputy justice minister, officially took the office on Tuesday, a source in the Justice Ministry told the Military News Agency.

According to the source, he will be responsible for the law making activities including the working out of the Law on Justice Ministry.

Demin was born in 1945, Graduated from the KGB highest school in 1967. Served in KGB and Federal Security Service (FSB). Used to be the FSB legislative department from 1995 to 1997. Since 1997 - chief military prosecutor - deputy general prosecutor. Doctor of justice. Speaks French and English.
