LOCALS OF CHECHNYA'S GUDERMES, VEDENO GIVING IN ARMS

MOZDOK, August 15 (AVN) - The officers of the Chechnya temporary Interior departments have accomplished 29 operations in the past 24 hours, the Military News Agency learned at the Interior Ministry temporary press centre in the North Caucasus.

The policemen checked 19,443 citizens, inspected 9,538 vehicles, exposed 209 administrative crimes, including 90 cases of passport rules breaching, eliminated three explosive devices, two illegal oil refineries, extracted seven Kalashnikov assault rifles, two RPG-18 grenade launchers, four hunting rifles, four rounds to the different type grenade launchers, 14 hand grenades, an unguided reactive shell, six mines, four shells, aviation bomb, 500g of explosive devices and some 1,000 small arms cartridges.

The dwellers of the Vedeno and Gudermes districts have handed in a RPG-18 grenade launcher, six hand grenades and 500 grams of trotyl to the law-enforcers.
