SEVEROMORSK, August 18 (AVN) - The Northern Fleet Svir hospital ship designed for rendering first medical aid and providing recreation facilities is ready to sail off to the area of the Kursk SSBN accident, a source in the fleet's medical service told the Military News Agency.
At present the ship is anchored in one of the Severomorsk berths. The floating hospital is ready to sail off in two hours after the order coming from the fleet's staff. All the necessary means to accept survived and render first medical aid are onboard. The hospital is ready to accept up to 100 suffered and 100 more can be placed in the recreation part of the ship.
