MOSCOW, August 22 (AVN) - President Vladimir Putin declared Wednesday to be the day of mourning for the dead crew of the Kursk SSBN which sank in the Barents Sea some 10 days ago, the presidential press service reported.
Putin also ordered to raise the state flags of the Russian Federation at half mast all over the country's territory and recommended TV companies to call off all entertainment programmes, the press service said. He charged the Russian government and local authorities to take all necessary measures to help the crewmen's family members.
