ULYANOVSK, Volga Region, August 24 (AVN) - The local Aviastar aircraft building enterprise has started making new AN-124-100 Condor plane, a source in the company's management told the Military News Agency.
The client is the Moscow Ruslan 003 airlines.
The new Condor should be transferred to the client in 10 months, according to an order signed by Aviastar Director General Gennady Korotnev. The time is very limited given that the AN-124-100 is the most powerful of all the world's serially produced military transports. In order the plant fits into the terms, the management had to correct production programme for building AN-204 mid-range passenger liners.
