KIEV, September 1 (AVN) - A joint computerised training of the Russian and Ukrainian Air Force and Air Defence units will take place September 7, a source in the Ukrainian Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.
Colonel-General Vladimir Tkachev, Ukrainian air defence commander, will supervise the training, the source said. The general will have to establish interaction with the Russian military specialists from the commands of army branches for the first time.
At the same time, the crews of Ukrainian fighters will be involved in exercises in Belarus where Russian, Belarussian and Ukrainian Air Forces will train elements of interplay between management bodies and on-duty officers when organising air defence.
