MOSCOW, September 6 (AVN) - Border guards of the Torgim outpost of the Nazran detachment and servicemen of the Defence Ministry detected a weapons cache in the territory of Ingushetia near the Russia-Georgian border as a result of a joint reconnaissance operation, the press centre of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service told the Military News Agency.
The cache contained three Strela portable air defence systems, 10 grenade launchers with complete set of ammunition and 500 5.45mm cartridges, a press centre official said.
This is not the first extremists' cache found in the area, the official said. A few days before two caches containing portable air defence systems, grenade launchers, tents, mortars, flame-throwers, equipment and Wahhabi literature were destroyed there by the federals.
