GROZNY, September 7 (AVN) - Chechen guerrillas attacked a guard post protecting the republic's emergency ministry units in the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny overnight to Thursday, a source in the ministry told the Military News Agency.
The attackers were firing small arms. Two more such posts were attacked here on Tuesday by extremists equipped with assault rifles, the source said.
The guerrillas are constantly trying to disrupt the ministry's work, the source said. Some 100 mines set in the ministry's installations have been exposed and defused by federal sappers over the past 20 days, he added.
