RUSSIAN ORDNANCE LOADED ON SHIPS FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM GEORGIA

BATUMI, Georgia, September 7 (AVN) - The ordnance of the Russian 138th military base stationed in Vaziani outside Tbilisi is being loaded on board three Black Sea Fleet ships at the Gonio testing ground, a source in the headquarters of the Russian troops group in the Trans Caucasus told the Military News Agency on Thursday.

A total of 90 pieces of ordnance are to be delivered to Russia. The ships will probably put to sea on Thursday and head for the Maly Utrish Cape 20 kilometres off Anapa, where the first batch of ordnance was unloaded.

The ordnance will fit units of the North Caucasus military district. The first batch containing 10 tanks, 15 armoured vehicles and 24 pieces of equipment was given to the district on August 10.
