NEW COMSFOR TO VISIT RUSSIAN BRIGADE IN BOSNIA

UGLIJEVIK, Bosnia, September 11 (AVN) - US Lieutenant-General Michael Dodson has taken the office of the SFOR commander in Bosnia replacing US Army General Ronald Adams, a spokesman for the Russian separate airborne brigade within the SFOR told the Military News Agency on Monday.

Dodson was introduced to the SFOR headquarters in Sarajevo by Supreme Allied Commander in Europe Joseph Ralstone, who came to the city especially for this purpose, the spokesman said.

All the SFOR division and unit commanders including Colonel Vladimir Demidov, commander of the Russian separate airborne brigade, visited the ceremony, the spokesman went on. When Demidov was introduced to Dodson, the latter praised the way the Russian peacekeepers fulfil their tasks in the North-eastern part of Bosnia. He said he would come to Uglijevik to visit the Russian brigade in the nearest future.
