MOSCOW, September 15 (AVN) - Head of the certification commission of the Norma R&D Centre Vasily Podkolzin handed a quality certificate to Yuri Ivanov, deputy director general of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation company (KnAAPO) in the company's Moscow office on Friday, the Military News Agency learned.
According to the certificate, the company's production matches the world standards.
The certificate will greatly help KnAPPO promote its products on the foreign markets, Ivanov told the Agency. The company has been exporting combat planes since 1964. It supplied over 2,000 SU-7 Moujik and SU-17 Fitter planes to 18 countries. Currently the company exports fourth generation fighters, i.e. SU-27SK and SU-30MKK Flankers, aimed at gaining superiority in the air and hitting ground targets.
