GERMAN NAVY CHIEF TO DISCUSS BALTIC STATES CONFERENCE IN RUSSIA

KALININGRAD, September 28 (AVN) - The missile weapons control frigate Brandenburg of the German Navy will visit the Russian Baltic Fleet from September 29 to October 2, a source in the fleet headquarters told the Military News Agency on Thursday.

The visit will be held under the flag of German Navy Commander-in-Chief Lutz Feld. The frigate will also carry a delegation of the Brandenburg province headed by Landtag President Herbert Knoblich.

Vice Admiral Feld intends to discuss the issues connected with the forthcoming Navy commanders conference of the Baltic Sea nations, poised for December 2000.
