TBILISI, September 29 (AVN) - Russia and Georgia have already delimited 80 percent of the 906km state frontier, the rest 20 percent will be co-ordinated in the near future, Zaza Kandelaki, chairman of the Georgian state delimitation commission, told the Military News Agency.
The talks on delimitation were temporarily stopped, he added. The reason for that is organisational problems, which were not yet solved by Moscow. The problems mostly deal with the fact that head of the Russian delimitation commission was not still appointed. The Russian Foreign Ministry assured the Georgian side that the problems will be solved in the nearest future and the talks will resume.
The main disputable issue is the Pichvebi highland village on the Russian-Georgian border. The Georgian side is going to pay special attention to this issue during the talks, Kandelaki stressed.
