TBILISI, October 4 (AVN) - Tbilisi is hosting talks of Georgian and Abkhazian delegation on the issues of security in the zone of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, Veselin Kostov, UN political secretary in Georgia, told the Military News Agency.
The Georgian delegation is headed by Special Affairs Minister Malkhaz Kakabadze, Abkhazian by Deputy Defence Minister Givi Agrba. The Sukhumi delegation also includes Astamur Tania, aide to Abkhazian leader Vladislav Ardzinba, Maksim Bargandzhia, deputy chief of the republic's security service and Avtandil Chkadua, prosecutor of the Gali district.
The talks are held under chairmanship of UN military observer in Georgia Anis Akhmed Badzhva, in the framework of the working group for the security of the Co-ordination Council for Settling the Conflict. According to Kostov, the main attention will be paid to the measures of preventing the deterioration of the situation. The question of the number of Georgian and Abkhazian Interior Ministry troops that should not be bigger than 600 servicemen from either side.
