RUSSIAN CHIEF-OF-STAFF TO VISIT MONGOLIA

MOSCOW, October 12 (AVN) - Russian Chief-of-Staff Anatoly Kvashnin will start his working visit to Mongolia on October 16, the Military News Agency learned.

Kvashnin is to visit military installations, meet his Mongolian counterpart - Lieutenant-General Dashzebeg, other military leaders of the country. They are going to discuss perspectives of bilateral military, military and technical co-operations, security in the Asia Pacific region.

They will also discuss issues connected with Russia's fulfilling Mongolian request to train its platoon leaders in the Siberian military district.

Kvashnin's visit will last till October 18. Then he will fly to Chita to visit several units of the Siberian district. He is to come back to Moscow on October 19.
