SAMARA, October 12 (AVN) - The personnel of the 113th specialised motorised rifle regiment composite battalion arrived in Chechnya's Gudermes on Thursday and started operation, a source in the local Interior Ministry unit headquarters told the Military News Agency.
It comprises over 200 soldiers and officers, including five servicewomen. The battalion will have to guard Gudermes, Chechnya's second largest city, from rebels together with elite policemen and anti-mafia officers. This will be the second mission of the battalion in the North Caucasus. It has suffered no losses in manpower since the beginning of the campaign.
