SEVASTOPOL, October 13 (AVN) - The Moskva guard missile cruiser has returned here to the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet after a sea trial under the flag of Rear Admiral Vladimir Vasyukov, commander of a ships unit, the Military News Agency learned on Friday.
Elements of combat organisation of the ship were trained. For the first time in the past 12 years of repair the crew of the vessel fired missiles and shelled 137mm guns. "The tasks of the dockyard specialists and the ship's crew were fulfilled," Vasyukov told reporters. Special attention was paid to educating the recently enlisted personnel. Young sailors of several unit's ships have been to the sea prior to the Moskva cruise.
Soon the final stage of the sea trials of the cruiser will begin, a source in the Black Sea Fleet headquarters told the Agency.
