MORION JS TO EQUIP PUTIN'S ENVOYS WITH SPECIAL COMMUNICATION

PERM, Southern Urals, October 16 (AVN) - The local Morion JS has received a state order to equip presidential envoys to the seven federal districts of Russia with special communication devices, Director Valery Struk said on Monday.

The order is quite complicated and demands original and knowledge-intensive technical solutions, Struk told the Military News Agency. The offices of envoys should be unified into a single communication system and simultaneously incorporated into the communication network of the president and his administration, he said.

For this purpose, Morion will produce 20 special communication devices visually similar to modems by early November. The cost of the order is not very high and amounts to RUR1m (USD35,900).

Morion is among the leading Russian designers and producers of long-range communication devices, Internet telephony, commutation and micro-sellar communication. It fully upgrades the entire range of its products every three years.

The enterprise invests up to USD2m of its own funds into development of production each year. Among its clients are the Ministries of Defence and Railroad, the Unified Energy System of Russia, the Gazprom oil and gas giant, the Svyaztransneft company and various state agencies.
