OVER 30 PECRENT OF RF MILITARY CADETS GETTING FLUNKED OUT

MOSCOW, October 17 (AVN) - The Defence Ministry has drawn the results of work of its higher military educational establishments in the 1999-2000 academic year, a source in the ministry told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.

The establishments have fulfilled their tasks 85 percent on average that allowed to man the RF Armed Forces by more than 95 percent, a special order of the ministry said.

Nevertheless, many graduates have very poor skills in use of combat materiel, have a poor concept of what the modern combat is, poorly know the management documents that are regulating the life and combat training of military units, the order said. According to it, 32.2 percent of cadets of the overall 2000 graduation staff were dismissed. Over 39.8 percent of them were flunked out due to reluctance to study and 30.4 percent due top poor discipline.

The list of Russian higher educational establishments that were giving poor training for their graduates includes the Physical Culture Military Institute, the Radio-Electronics Military Institute, the Irkutsk Military Engineer Aviation Institute, the Saratov Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Military Institute and some others.
