OVER 50 RUSSIAN PLANTS FILE BIDS FOR RUSSIAN SHIELD 2000 EXHIBITION

MOSCOW, October 27 (AVN) - The Russian Shield 2000 exhibition will be held in the All-Russia exhibition centre here on November 7 to 10, a source in the centre's management told the Military News Agency.

Over 50 enterprises have already filed their bids for participation. Among them are the Machine-Building Design Bureau state unitary enterprise specialising in development of operative and tactical, anti-tank, portable air defence and armoured vehicles active protection systems.

The Altair state unitary research and production enterprise will also present its production. The enterprise is Russia's leading firm in development of air defence armament and radio-electric weapons for the Navy ships.

The exhibition will also feature the products of the Bryansk electric mechanical plant, building electronic counter-warfare means, radio-control and radio-technical intelligence stations, satellite information acquisition and processing systems and the Tula cartridge plant.
