CHIEF OF ROSOBORONEXPORT STARTS FORMING HIS COMPANY

MOSCOW, November 8 (AVN) - Andrei Belyaninov, director general of the new Rosoboronexport federal state unitary enterprise, has held a meeting with top management of the Rosvoorouzhenie and Promexport companies.

The meeting focused on fulfilling of President Vladimir Putin's decree of November 4 concerning creation of the Rosoboronexport by means of unifying the two large companies.

According to a source in the Rosvoorouzhenie, Alexei Ogarev (former head of the Rosvoorouzhenie) and Sergei Chemezov (former Promexport chief) were offered positions of first deputies of the Rosoboronexport director general. So far there were no answer from them.

Belyaninov said he wanted to set a strong financial department in the new company.

The meeting also touched upon elimination of several generals' positions in organisations engaged in military and technical co-operation with foreign states. There are over 100 generals and admirals only in the Promexport, the source mentioned.
