MOSCOW, November 14 (AVN) - The Moscow air force and air defence district has summed up the results of training in 2000, the Military News Agency learned.
The district had to fulfil its tasks in conditions of considerable deficit of financial and material resources, Colonel-General Gennady Vasilyev, the district commander, said adressing the audience. The district was provided only by 35 percent of needed fuels and lubricants, which led to changes of combat training plans and reduction of flying exercises. According to the commander, the pilots' flying time in 2000 was 10 to 15 times less than the that of the NATO fliers.
