ALGERIAN MILITARY DELEGATION VISITS RUSSIA

MOSCOW, November 24 (AVN) - Delegation of Algerian Democratic Republic defence ministry led by Corps General Mohamed Lamari, national army chief-of-staff, is to leave Russia on Friday, a source in the RF Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.

During its four-day visit the delegation met Ilya Klebanov, deputy prime-minster, Igor Sergeev, RF defence minister and Anatoly Kvashnin, RF chief-of-staff and discussed the prospects of Russia-Algeria military co-operation as well as the problems of Middle East peaceful settlement and international terrorism combating.

At the end of the meeting both sides signed an agreement on military co-operation between countries' defence ministries under which working groups for co-ordinating activities in all military spheres will be created.

Lamari visited the General Staff Military Academy and the Frunze Military Academy where he met leadership and teaching staff. The delegation also visited some defence industry enterprises in the towns of Klimovsk and Zhukovsky as well as Russian Aviation and Space Agency (Rosaviakosmos).
