DETAILS ON RF-GEORGIA VISA REGIME TO BE ANNOUNCED ON NOVEMBER 28

TBILISI, November 24 (AVN) - Technical details of Russia-Georgia border visa regime which is to be introduced since December 5 will be publicly announced on November 28, Irakly Menagarishvili, Georgia's foreign minister, told reporters after the country's government session on Friday.

Adaptation period for two or three months will happen after the visa regime start, Menagarishvili said. The purpose of it is to let people from both countries to legalise their stay in Russia and Georgia depending on the country they are in for now.

If Russia introduces easier visa regime on any territories of the border Georgia will consider it to be interference in its sovereignty and border inviolacy, Menagarishvili stressed. Both sides are attending consultations on those problems.

Group of experts which will fly to Tbilisi in the near future will discuss all remaining details, a source in RF Foreign Ministry told the Military News Agency.
