MOSCOW, November 29 (AVN) - The committee on CIS affairs and contacts with compatriots of the State Duma lower house of Russian parliament has prepared for hearing the bill on ratification of Russian-Belarussian agreement concerning jurisdiction and mutual legal help in issues related to temporary stationing of RF units of the Strategic Forces in the territory of Belarus submitted by President Vladimir Putin, a source in the Duma told the Military News Agency.
While developing the bill the Russian side took into the account the necessity to protect rights and freedoms of Russian servicemen and family members and Russia's strategic interests in the region.
The agreement determines scales of use of Russian and Belarussian legislature in respect of Russian servicemen, mutual help in civilian and criminal cases, administrative breaches. The draft also sets order of completing construction of the Baranovichi DEW station and the Vileika station to control Russian submarines and ships.
