MOSCOW, December 5 (AVN) - "I would like to ask not to force a wedge between the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies and federal defence agencies. We are birds of a feather," Alexander Dondukov, head of the ministry, said at the fifth elective conference of the League for the Advancement of the Defence Enterprises being held here, the Military News Agency learned.
According to Dondukov, reorganisation of the country's defence industry will be possible only after the weapons programme till 2010 is completed.
Reorganisation of the defence industry enterprises must be held, because currently there is no unified system helping the enterprises to develop themselves, he said. For instance, six defence ministers of European countries signed an agreement on creation of a joint defence industry system at the Farnborough 2000 international air show, he added.
Dondukov stressed the industry needed young and energetic leaders. The ministry set up a department to participate in creation of national cadastre of sciences, which will help to keep the unique scientific and production experience gained by the enterprises, he noted.
