VEDENO, Chechnya, December 13 (AVN) - Federal law-enforcers have carried out four search operations in the Vedeno district of Chechnya in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency on Wednesday.
A landmine was disarmed, 1,500 cartridges, two mines, two grenade launchers and one hunting rifle were confiscated from a cache near the village of Dyshne-Vedeno, the spokesman said.
Two crimes have been registered in the district during the past 24 hours. One of them is detected. About 800 leaflets with threats to the local administration heads and citizens co-operating with federals were confiscated in the Tsa-Vedeno village.
The leadership of the police department is especially concerned about the situation in the localities of Mekhketa, Khatun, Selmentausen, Tsa-Vedeno.
