KHANKALA, December 22 (AVN) - Chechen rebels have attacked federal checkpoints 14 times and military columns three times in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters in the North Caucasus told the Military News Agency on Friday.
Law-enforcers detained 19 people, including three wounded rebels, during special operations and ID checks, the spokesman said. Scouts found and destroyed two blindages and an ammo cache. The federal artillery inflicted four strikes on rebel groups exposed search and reconnaissance raids.
