MOSCOW, December 22 (AVN) - The Plesetsk cosmodrome in northern European Russia is getting ready to launch the Cyclone-3 light booster rocket with six spacecraft, a spokesman for the Strategic Missile Forces (SMF) Staff said on Friday.
The spacecraft will be transported to the launch preparation shop later in the day, the spokesman told the Military News Agency. On Saturday, the cosmodrome personnel will start mating the space warhead that houses the satellites with the booster rocket.
The launch is scheduled for December 27.
According to unofficial data, some of the satellites to be put into orbit will function in the interests of the Russian Defence Ministry.
