MOSCOW, December 22 (AVN) - The two-day visit of Russian Defence Minister Igor Sergeyev to Azerbaijan will start on December 25, a spokesman for the Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.
Sergeyev will discuss the problems of bilateral military and technical co-operation and is supposed to sign an agreement on teaching Azerbaijani servicemen in the Defence Ministry military academies. During the negotiations with the officials from the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry Sergeyev plans to talk on combating international terrorism judging from the current situation in the area of accomplishing the antiterrorist mission in the North Caucasus and the whole situation in the Trans-Caucasus. Both parties also plan to discuss the functioning of Russian Gabala information centre in Azerbaijan.
Sergeyev is also expected to meet Azerbaijani President Geidar Aliyev, the Prime Minister and the parliament chairman.
