ANADYR, Russian Far East, January 22 (AVN) - TU-95MC strategic bombers of a long-range aviation unit stationed in central Russia have started planned flights at the Anadyr airfield, a spokesman for the 37th army of the Strategic Air Command told the Military News Agency on Monday.
The bomber crews will practice flights in Far North conditions, as well as elements of combat duty in the air, the spokesman said. Two TU-95MS rocket carriers and an IL-78 Midas refueller are used for those purposes. The planes are not equipped with armament and cruise missiles.
