VLADIVOSTOK, January 23 (AVN) - The Japanese military delegation making a tour through Russia will arrive in Vladivostok on Wednesday, the Military News Agency learned.
The visit takes place in accordance with the Russian Defence Ministry's plan for development of ties with foreign armed forces. The 30-strong Japanese delegation is led by Colonel Takashige Yanagihara, head of the 5th staff department of the Joint Staff Council.
In Vladivostok, the Japanese officers are expected to meet the Russian Pacific Fleet commander, Vice Admiral Viktor Fyodorov, and visit a marine unit to take a look at its training facilities and materiel.
The delegation has visited Moscow, St. Petersburg and Khabarovsk. It is expected to leave Vladivostok for Tokyo on Thursday.
