ROSTOV-ON-DON, February 12 (AVN) - The Russian Emegencies Ministry specialists have found three new sources of ionising radiation at the territory of a chemical plant in the Zavodskoy district of Grozny on Monday afternoon, a spokesman for the Ministry's North Caucasus regional centre told the Military News Agency.
The radiating power is about 1,000 milliroentgen per hour, the spokesman said. This is not the first case of such kind in Chechnya's capital. Specialists have already found five similar sources at the same plant located not far from a school in the Leninsky district of Grozny. All sources found will be transported to the radiation wastes disposal site in the Tolstoi-Yurt village. According to the Chechnya Emergencies Ministry, the plant's radioactive decontamination is planned to be completed by February 15.
