MOSCOW, February 15 (AVN) - Federal servicemen and officers of other law-enforcement agencies participating in the Chechnya campaign might have the chance to attend healthcare centres of the Sernovodsk national resort located in the Sunzhensky district of the breakaway republic together with local residents, Chechen government vhairman Stanislav Ilyasov said on Thursday.
An interdepartmental session will take place in the town of Mineralnye Vody on Friday to discuss the North Caucasus resort zone development programme, Ilyasov told reporters. "We understand that not everyone currently has the guts to come to our place but local residents and servicemen can improve their health there already," Ilyasov said.
The general programme of social infrastructure restoration in Chechnya includes a section devoted to the military, as "the government is not going to separate them from other residents of the republic," the chairman stressed when asked by the Military News Agency to comment on prospects of the social infrastructure development for federal troops premanently stationed in Chechnya.
"Currently military compounds develop at a good pace, and many servicemen already live in regular flats with all modern conveniences," Ilyasov added.
