ANTEI CONSORTIUM WINDS UP PREPARATIONS FOR IDEX 2001 ARMS SHOW

MOSCOW, February 16 (AVN) - The Antei consortium has completed preparations for the IDEX 2001 international arms show that will take place in Abu Dhabi from March 18 to 22, a spokesman for the consortium's administration said on Friday.

The Antei delegation will be headed by Director General Yuri Svirin, the spokesman told the Military News Agency. Its products will be exhibited under the flag of the Rosoboronexport state-owned arms exporting company.

Antei, a leading producer of air defence missile systems on the world market, will exhibit the Antei-2500 (S-300VM) system, which enables firing at up to 16 ballistic missiles, including those made on the stealth technology, the spokesman said. Its section at the IDEX 2001 show will feature mock-ups of the Tor-M1 system, Tor-M1T system in the wheel-container variant for accomplishment of missions in air defence installations, as well as Osa-AKM system.

Besides, Antei will bring to the show live samples of the Zoopark detection and fire control system, as well as portable ground radars Credo, Fara and Monitor.
