TWO ARRESTED FOR KEEPING SOME 44kg OF EXPLOSIVES IN SOUTHERN SIBERIA

MOSCOW, February 23 (AVN) - Officers of the anti-mafia department in the Interior Ministry of the Buryatian autonomous republic detained a private company's fitter for keeping explosives in his car in the republic's capital Ulan-Ude, a spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry's main anti-mafia department said on Friday.

The fitter had in the car 9.7kg of plastic explosive, two 200g TNT charges and five electric detonators, the spokesman told the Military News Agency. Later, policemen found an entire arsenal in the garage owned by the fitter's friend. The arsenal contained 71 200g TNT charges and 49 800g TNT charges weighing a total of 33.8kg.
