VLADIKAVKAZ, February 26 (AVN) - The 58th combined arms army commanded by Major General Valery Gerasimov and stationed in the North Caucasus commenced a training session for battalion commanders on Monday, a spokesman for the army's headquarters told the Military News Agency.
Held within the framework of the session will be classes in fire training and tactics, means of communication, engineering training, combat vehicles driving, and methods of conducting company-size tactical exercises.
The 42nd motorised rifle division permanently stationed in Chechnya will carry out the session on the basis of the Khankala regiment. After the session is over on Thursday or Friday, battalion commanders will have to take credit tests for assessment of their activity.
