PYATIGORSK, Stavropol Territory, February 26 (AVN) - A meeting of law enforcement chiefs of the North Caucasus region chaired by the Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Nikolai Patrushev was held here on Monday, a spokesman for the North Caucasus military district headquarters told the Military News Agency.
Items on the agenda included progress of the anti-guerrilla operation, measures to prevent terrorist acts and infiltration of rebels outside Chechnya.
According to the spokesman, the meeting was attended by Colonel General Gennady Troshev, commander of the North Caucasus military district.
Patrushev chairs the operational headquarters in charge of anti-terrorist operations in the region.
