MOSCOW, February 26 (AVN) - The Armenian National Assembly (parliament) has ratified three Armenian-Russian military agreements signed by the defence ministers of the two countries on March 16, 2000, the Mediamax news agency reported on Monday.
The first agreement deals with management of aviation and air defence means of the Armenian Armed Forces and the Russian military base from Armenia's unified aviation and air defence command point, the news agency said.
The second agreement is entitled "Concernig Air Defence Joint Combat Duty of Air Defnece Units and Aviation of the Armenian Armed Forces and the Russian Military Base in Armenia", while the third is called "Concerning the Order of Provision of the Russian Federation's Testing Grounds to Armenia to Conduct Live Firing by Military Units and Formations of the Armenian Armed Forces' Air Defence".
The State Duma lower house of Russian parliament ratified the agreements in April 2000.
