KALINIGRAD, Western Russia, March 7 (AVN) - German Schlezwig-Holstein Region Minister-President Heinz-Werner Arens arrived in Russia's westernmost exclave of Kaliningrad on Wednesday, Kaliningrad region Governor Vladimir Yegorov told the Military News Agency.
At the meeting with Yegorov, Arens passed him an invitation to visit famous the traditional Kiel Week.
Kiel will host a parliamentary conference of Baltic countries in June 2001 where participants plan to discuss problems of the Kaliningrad region in connection with the European Union's expansion. A Baltic Fleet combat vessel will take part in the Kiel Week, Yegorov said.
