RUSSIAN, BELARUSSIAN BORDER GUARDS POSTPONEJOINT SESSION

MINSK, March 12 (AVN) - The border guard committee of the Union of Russia and Belarus has postponed its session originally planned for Monday, a spokesman for the state committee of the Belarussian border guards troops told the Military News Agency.

Officials of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service (FBGS) applied to the committee for postponing the session, the spokesman said. The reason was that the parties failed to complete co-ordination of amendments to the interstate agreement on joint efforts in border protection. The Monday session was expected to tackle the issue.

The session has been postponed to late March.
